The Bourne Identity ****
The Bourne Identity is the best of the trilogy in my opinion. The film is paced greatly with a good mix of story and action, which is unusual for the first film in a action trilogy. The Bourne Identity for me is a greater adventure than the 2 sequels, the film is an original style mix of spy and action movies, like 007.
Matt Damon is great as Jason Bourne, and it's refreshing to see him play a role more suited towards him. Franka Potenteis great as well, and also happy to see her in a high budget film too.
The Bourne Supremacy **
The Bourne Supremacy is the worst of the trilogy and in my opinion lacked pace. The whole film felt very dragged out. I found the film just quite simply vey boring. You can't fault the acting in the film though. I thought that the film didn't develop the characters enough and not alot really happened thoughout it. It just felt like a big trailer for the third film, connecting The Bourne Identity to the Ultimatum.
The Bourne Ultimatum ****
The Bourne Ultimatum is a great film don't get me wrong. The action scenes and stunts in the film are immense. They really make this film. The character development is good and carries on from The Bourne Supremacy. And the film is well paced out with a great mix of story and action. This makes the film a lot more intense.
The Ultimatum was a great way to end the trilogy. All the story lines were closed and the acting on all parts was great. And the directing was perfect for the third installment of the Bourne Trilogy.
The Bourne trilogy all together I would say is a great addition to any collection. The Limited Edition (here) is really great though and is for the true fans of the film. If your not a fan of the Bourne Trilogy then obviously don't buy it!
