The first few episodes remind me of the start of season three and are fairly depressing. Change is the word. Relationships are destroyed which is always sad. I really don't know why some changes happened, because like season 3, it's just unsettling and loses some of the magic the previous seasons had. On the monster side of things, the stories also get somewhat absurd as the writers struggle for something new. But on the good side, and most important, the season develops a fantastic sense of humour. And it's that sense of humour that really makes it stand out, and the reason I give it a five.

One of the Best Buffy the Vampire Slayer Seasons

I think this season is fantastic in my opinion. It's a whole new generation for the Buffy series but, still manages to keep a bit of the old background intact. As well as introducing new characters. It has a gripping story line and plot which made me give this a 5 star rating. This DVD Boxset also has plenty of bonus material to keep you satisfied. So if your a fan of the series or enjoyed watching the show then treat yourself to this boxset.

     One of my Faves.

In my opinion, this is one of the best seasons of Buffy.
Starts with change. Buffy and Willow have started Univercity, and Buffy gets stuck with the worst roomate ever!
Gets a bit depressing when Scott 'uses' Buffy and she's moping around for a few episodes, and when Oz cheats on Willow it's pretty sad.
Buffy discovers the 'Initiative' and their secret lab under Sunnydale.
But it's actually a very amusing season with some of the best episodes ever!
Fear itself (Hallowe'en Special), Hush (with the Gentlemen!), Superstar and Restless are some of the standout episodes.

The special features are really good too.

     Slight decline

Not the best series for me as the overall 'initiative' story arc is the weakest and Riley is a poor character. There are however some fantastic individual episodes with 'Hush' being one of the best Buffy shows ever. The invention at times is fantastic but a few too many duff turns prevents this being a five star season.

One of the best seasons of the series!

I haven't been a Buffy fan for very long considering i was only 3 when it started! I started watching it in October and i am hooked on it, this season and season 5 are by far the best. In this season there are a few twists and turns and you just want to carry on watching after each episode ends. Just brilliant if you haven't watched it yet you won't be disappointed!
