The Bucket List stars Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman in a touching story about friendship, family and finding the joy in life.

Edward Cole (Nicholson) is a corporate billionaire who is currently sharing a hospital room with blue-collar mechanic Carter Chambers (Freeman). Though initially the pair seems to have nothing in common, conversation gradually reveals that both men have a long list of goals they wish to accomplish before they 'kick the bucket'. But one can't accomplish such lofty objectives from the confines of a hospital bed, so now in order to live their lives to the absolute fullest Edward and Carter will have to make a break for it!

The first 20 minutes you will think that the movie is going to be boring as it start slow but no way the movie exceeds excellency. Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman gives their best acting and the humour that comes from this movie is so great. Script well written and highly recommend to view this movie. JUST GREAT.

A truly awesome film, I settled down to watch what I thought was a going to be a laugh out loud comedy to pass the time, but I got so much more. It is both funny and truly touching.

I read some earlier reviews about how this does not raise awareness about cancer and it glosses over it, though a very serious issue this is not what the film is primarily about.

It is about how two strangers meet in a cancer ward in hospital and whilst mostly ignoring each other to begin with eventually start to become friends.

Then when they are both given less than a year to live they embark on what they call the bucket list, things to do before you "kick the bucket".

This journey takes them across the world and along the way they both change each others lives. Morgan Freeman shows Jack Nicholson what is really important in life and Jack Nicholson gives the opportunity for Morgan Freeman to fulfill the dreams he felt he missed out on in his younger life.

The film shows how it is never too late to change, rectify past mistakes and to achieve your goals/dreams in life. Also it shows how you should live for the now because you never know when your time is up.

Two great actors save bad film.

In the same way that if Jack Nicholson found himself on The Paul O'Grady Show you'd probably tune in to watch, here he and Morgan Freeman are the only possible reason you'll be able to stomach this dross.

It's not just the script and direction that are weak, it's hard to believe such dodgy special effects are still possible in the 21st century. For a film that is essentially about two guys travelling and experiencing the world, you'd have thought there'd be more location shooting and less terrible bluescreen.

Even the plot doesn't make a lot of sense if you think about it, and as you'd expect from America there are far too many conversations about life and feelings. However, despite all this, it's still worth a look simply for the performances - and it does have its moments, just not enough of them.

 Excellent

This film makes you realise that life is short, so get up off your backside and do what you want to do in life. You never know what is going to happen to who and when. Its a good film and the acting is superb from nicholson and freeman. Much better than i expected! 5 stars.

'morgan freeman' and 'jack nicholson' are surely two of the modern greats, and as such deserve a great script to work with, in my opinion this film 'ticks' all the boxes.
'jack' plays the part of a billionaire, who can and has through his life
do just about anything he wants, but in reality his life is empty.
'morgan' plays the part of a 'motor mechanic' who has devoted his adult life to bringing up a loving family.
the two meet in 'hospital' both have 'cancer' and share a room, this seemingly odd combination find friendship, knowing their days are numbered.
they compile a list of thing they wished they could have done through their lives ( the bucket-list ) and set out on a 'last' adventure together, will they be able to complete it ?
most importantly in the time they have left can they both find the peace they seek.
this film shows some of the many sides that can and does effect people with this horrific illness, however as well as the emotional and sad roller-coaster ride there is also much humour in the film.
both men appear to have 'on-screen' chemistry between them.
it is without question a film 'worth' watching.
