ang lee is back on form after the dreadful brokeback mountain.a very dark tale .wonderful performances from both the main leads.leung proves he is outstanding actor conveying anger, passion and self loathing in equal measure.no doubt this has been a labour of love for the director.buy this film and watch it again and again!
Fantastic.

Ang Lee's follow-up to 'Brokeback Mountain' is just wonderful.
'Lust, Caution' is far more than an erotic thriller, it's a tale of dishonesty, betrayal and unintended love.
With a phenomenal introductory performance from Wei Tang, this movie is just the beginning of her career.
Sure this movie is explicit but it's not like nobody hasn't seen anything of this sort before.
The only small problem with 'Lust, Caution' is it's length, two and a half hours can be quite hard going on some viewers, so if long movies aren't your thing, maybe avoid this one.
Personally, I didn't notice the length because I was so immersed in the narrative but I'm not everyone.
'Lust, Caution' is yet another fine piece of foreign cinema, it's beautiful, fantastically filmed and most of all, it's incredibly enjoyable.
Excellent Ang Lee film

Lust, Caution, Ang Lee's latest, is a beautifully shot, impeccibly acted piece of drama, very reminiscent of the films of Wong Kar Wai. Hopefully it wont be remembered just for the controversy surrounding the explicit (and they are indeed explicit!) nature of some of the scenes. There's much more to the film than just sex scenes.
Good film - long though

This is a good film. I'm not sure it's a 5* amazing film but not a waste of 2 1/2 hours of my life either. The acting is exceptional but I did find myself looking at my watch in places as it is long.
Great, Fantastic

I thought this was a sensational film, full of depth and intrique. Ang Lee is master of his profession and Lust, Caution is a worthy successor to Brokeback Mountain. I love films that really make you think and this is definitely a multi-layered film that you come away from with lots to think about. The fact that it is all in Mandarin really adds to the experience (I barely noticed the subtitles after the first couple of minutes) and the costumes and sets are exquisite and accurately done. All the key roles are really well played. There are some really interesting characters and the film takes you right into their lives.
This is definitely well worth seeing and if you are a fan of Ang Lee's work then it's essential!
