its five star from me because the plot was fantastic. all the characters get a lot of screen time and the comical twist keeps me glued to the screen.
Let me inform all Futurama Fans around the Globe this feature length adventure isn't a letdown, far from it in fact...

Bought it as soon as i saw it and was laughing all the way through.
Good knowledge of previous episodes is essential for many of the laughs.
Awesome.
Not as Much About Bender as You'd Think

I'm a massive fan of the Futurama series, I was a Simpsons faithful for years until it came out, then this programme was my favorite. So naturally, I was gutted when it was cancelled and delighted when I heard they were making some 'films', but I was also worried. I was worried because usually in this same situation, the film ruins the series, but in this case, it's not true. As the title of this review says, it's not as 'Bender-y' as you'd think being called 'Benders Big Score'. I imagined it would be Bender stealing everything in the world because he wanted to, not because he was made, but that was good, because that made it better than I expected. The plot can get a little bit confusing at times, which is why I only gave it 4 stars. All in all though, It's a really good film, funny in places and hilarious in others and with a fantastic twist at the end. Great film
Welcome back Futurama

After futurama was cancelled i wasnt all that fussed, basically because i could live without it, but after seeing this movie/long episode i wondered how i lived without it.
it starts off with the usuall futurama comedy, as the story unfolds the time travelling element is very well inplemented ands you also learn what happens to fry when he returns home from the year 3000. Bender is the highlight of the comedy (as ever).
Its a worthy return for futurama and a very good movie in my opinion
Futurama is brillant

I Don't Usually Give A Bad Review But Watching This Last Night Was Like Watching The Simpsons Movie. When Simpsons & Futurama First Started Out It Was Funny As Hell But It's Like They Have Lost Ideas On The Way Of Making New Episodes. This Film Does Have Some Good Bits In It But That's About It, The Animation It Still Superb. It's Only My Personal Opinion On This Film Though, So Don't Let It Put You Off Buying It. I Just Hope The Next One Will Be Good.
just as good as the series

Basically if you love Futurama, then you have NO excuse not to buy this. The storyline is a tiny bit confusing, but all the loose ends are tied up (as Doctor Farnsworth says at the end) and since when has futurama ever made sense anyway?
This has some of the most amazing visuals seen yet in futurama, one of the best space battles, the best jokes and another important chaptor in Fry and Lela's complicated love life.
Im not afriad to admit I nearly cried at the end!
Also the starting sequence concerning Box Network is just hilarious, and well deserved!!!
Just buy it.... buy it now..... "recommended by Hypnotoad"!
Not as good as the best bits of the series but still great!

This film is significantly better than the Simpsons Movie in that its actually a proper film rather than a really long episode. I will, however, state the two things that stop me from giving it 5*s:
The plot is excessively complex (But you'll probably be wanting to see the film multiple times so a lot of the plot is explained in repeat viewings.), which can get in the way of the jokes occasionally (although there is one particular joke running throughout the film in the form of 'executive powder' that I would like to see return in some form or another within the next three films.).
It kind of lacks some of the magic that made the best episodes of the series shine.
Overall the film leaves you to wonder if this was the reason the Simpsons Movie, which disappointed many fans, was made: to parley the return of Futurama as it were.
The film references many classic episodes so I would expect is rather inaccessible for people fresh to the series. For them I would recommend starting with the first season (not the best but the most informative as to who everyone is and what they are supposed to be doing.) and moving in from there before watching the film.
In terms of extras you get the regular stuff, really. The only thing that isn't of the norm is the maths lecture, which shows just what kind of people write this show! The style is reasonably engaging but I can't help but think I'd start looking out the window and doodling if I were on the teacher's course. If you are into that sort of thing, though, it's there in all its glory.
Overall this is definitely for people who know the series. If you don't then buy the seasons and then buy this film or you'll not appreciate it.
I have the next film in the series preordered and if its anything like this one it ought to be fantastic, if not better.
How can fox be so blind to cancel something as good as this?

I am a huge futurama fan and believe that it is greatest comedy animation ever invented. Upon hearing there would be a movie I was excited and wasn't disappointed.
The movie is an amazing tale which although many people have criticized, I fully enjoyed and thought it was cleverly writen and deep. I very rarely find my self so involved with a story but with this I felt fully immersed.
The one advantage futurama has over shows like the simpsons, family guy and american dad is the fact the writers are so clever when creating a story and this has shown in this film. As well as this, it also leads on perfectly to the next film which I am waiting for in huge anticipation.
Futurama is a show I can watch again and again and after initially getting the film and watching it, I watched it again the next night as I found it that amazing.
Buy this and you won't be disappointed.
