When five American students arrive in Ireland to go on a camping trip with their old friend Jake, they are in high spirits. Jake has promised them the 'trip of a lifetime' - he claims Ireland has the best magic mushrooms in the world!
But now that they are tripping, things just don't seem so funny. Bluto is missing and Tara thinks he's dead. As their paranoia grows so does the fear of something out there... something is watching them...

This film like 'Blair Witch Project' has been highly criticized. Shrooms is not really that bad of a film. The film is very experimental, and is shot with a unique style. The film is more commercial than 'Blair Witch Project' which makes it less of a cult film. But this is a great experimental film, seeing what works with the audiences. The film is a refreshing look at the horror genre, which is dominated by gore. Shrooms manages to be somewhat scary without showing anyone actually getting killed.
This film is a good buy and definitely worth a watch, especially if you liked 'Blair Witch Project'. But I'll let you decide which one you think is better!

Total waste of money, boring dont bother buying! It took ages for the story to get going and when it did all it was about was hallucinations from eating mushrooms.
The worst film ever made....!!

Without a doubt this is the worst film I have seen this year, if not the whole of my life!! The trailer made me think this would be different than most corny American-slasher flicks, but sadly disappointed me on all levels.
For a start, there is hardly any gore or gruesome scenes in the movie...basically when something is going to happen the screen goes kind of blurred (in a very cheap effects way) and then someones face appears and that person is dead...it's terrible!!
The acting is purely awful, the story is even worse, and the whole package is a complete waste of time. If it hadn't been for my curiousity as to how the film ended then I would have switched off well before the end.
Whatever you do, avoid this DVD at your peril...it quite simply is "The worst film ever made...!!"
