In Babylon A.D Vin Diesel stars as a veteran-turned-mercenary who is hired to deliver a package from the ravages of post-apocalyptic Eastern Europe to a destination in the teeming megalopolis of New York City. The "package" is a mysterious young woman with a secret. Based on the novel by Maurice G. Dantec.

 90 minutes cut out

The reason so many people LOVED or HATED this movie, depends on which version they saw. The normal version utterly sucks, since you get no sense of the story at all, due to abour 90 minutes being cut OUT of the movie..

Wait for the directors cut, the FULL movie in other words.
This edition is like watching just the first half of Magnolia, it ruins the entire movie.

 Entertaining

It would be wrong to say this film is rubbish! there are great visiual effects in it and a fairly decent cast. Vin Deisel does what he does best, playing a tough guy who is definately TOUGH.Michelle Yeoh brings talent and skill to the screen but I have to say the trailer for this film makes the film look better than what it actually is. I have to say that I was not disappointed with this film I just expected a little bit more. Good action scenes throughout. See for yourself.

 Should have been better

This movie should have originally been 160 minutes long but FOX decided that the UK and US release would be cut to a mere 90 minutes, thats a huge 70 minutes of cut footage. However the 160 minute version was released in Europe, so if you are going to buy this I would hold out for the directors cut as it does feel like a huge chunk of the movie is missing.

Good beginning, although alittle confusing. The story is a good one and it wasnt dull for too long. The problem I have with it though is that it ends too abruptly. Id wait for the extended version if there is one, I know I will watch that one. I wouldnt buy this film, rent it.

 ENTERTAINING SCI FI FLICK!!!

I must admit to liking this film even though it has recieved a panning from everyone else. Vin Diesel is awesome as the tough guy who must transport a woman from Russia to USA safely as she holds great power within her. The acting was good enough and the action sequences wasnt bad either. Not the greatest film ever made but it is far from being the worst its just one of those films that you have to switch your brain off for. Enjoy
