Ben 'Finn' Finnegan (Matthew McConaughey) is a treasure hunter who is obsessed with finding the legendary 18th century Queens Dowry - 40 chests of exotic treasure that was lost at sea in 1715.
In his quest, Finn has sunk everything he has, including his marriage to Tess (Kate Hudson). Just as Tess has begun to rebuild her life, working aboard a mega-yacht owned by billionaire Nigel Honeycutt (Donald Sutherland), Finn discovers a vital clue to the treasures whereabouts. Certain that his luck will change with the newfound information, Finn maneuvers himself aboard Nigels yacht and convinces the tycoon and his Blackberry-wielding, celebutante daughter, Gemma (Alexis Dziena), to join him in the pursuit of the Spanish treasure. Against Tess' better judgment, the search rekindles her love of discovery. But they are not the only ones after the treasure. Finns mentor-turned-nemesis Moe Fitch (Ray Winstone) has also set out to claim the prize!

A very enjoyable film I treated myself to this DVD and glad I did it's brillant. A very good cast and acting in some of the most beautiful locations. The story unfolds into a really funny and lovable one that keeps you watching. Matthew McConnaughey makes you laugh in this film some really funny humour in this film. Kate Hudson looks hot and the both together is well just ace. The best part is the wicked Ray Winstone is in it and boy he doesn't dissappoint you, shame he's not in the film much though. He comes in half way then at the ending but still brill to see him again. Also directed by a brillant director Andy Tennant. Everyone should have this in their collection. Unless they are a Fool.

Saw this on my way back from my holidays.
Its not a bad film, bits of action here and there, character scenes too. The plot though, seems to be a rip from my favourite game Uncharted Drakes Fortune, which is a far better experience then this film.
Good too watch once, perhaps rent, not worth a buy though.
