I bought this based on other reviews on here, but apart from the music i was very dissapointed. I know it was a low budget film but the shaky camera on most scenes really annoyed me and the ending was not that great, some parts where good but i dont think i will be watching it again in a rush, if i do it will only be for the songs as i thought they where great. So maybe i would have been better just buying the cd!!

This is a genuine and goregous movie about two ordinary people who find each other through music. Not too big of a story. Just an ordinary story about two ordinary people. If you like guitar and piano music you have to see this film. It's over 50 percent music/singing in the film, so you kind of have to. I bought the soundtrack imediately.

'Once' is perfect. This heartwarming movie will have you smiling, happy and awed. The music will have you hooked, no matter what genre you're inclined to. With such a simple plot, it's a wonder how easy it is to appreciate and love this film so much. The 'Guy' and 'Girl' co-exist in a realistic way that sets this apart from any other drama/romance film i've seen before. Set in Dublin, a busker with a shabby guitar meets a Czech looking to make ends meet and their friendship begins. Nothing much is left to be said, except that this refreshing movie should be given a chance by any and everybody.

Fantastic film. My mate lent me it and I had it for about 3 weeks and finally decided to give it a go after a lot of umming and arring.

What a film! Fantastic acting and the music is out of this world.

The minute I finished watching the film, I ordered the soundtrack from Play and now I have bought the film.

Cannot praise it enough.

The music is Damien Riceish and Glen Hansard sounds a little like David Gray also and Marketa has a fanstastic voice which compliments Glen's perfectly.

As someone above/below said, buy it and thank me later.

A beautifully paced, melodic treasure of a film about the whirlwind relationship between a busker and a Czech girl who meet on the streets of Dublin.

Shot on a shoestring budget in just 17 days, Once is a truly original movie restoring some faith in the film industry and boasting one of the best soundtracks of the last decade.

An instant classic.

I was reading the reviews of this film and they convinced me to watch it. For me it was one of the worse films I've ever seen. There was not much of a story, bad begining and ending with bad filming. Apart from that the music was good.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Great film!!!!

I read the reviews on this and thought I'd give it a try, I reluctantly suggested it to a mate expecting to get laughed out the room, anyway we sat down to watch it and both thought it was so brilliant, downloaded the soundtrack today to listen in my car, take this sinking boat...... Love it!
