Academy Award nominee Catherine Deneuve (The Musketeer) Isabelle Huppert (The Swindle) and Fanny Ardant (Elizabeth) star in this outrageous mystery about a wealthy industrialist who has been found murdered in his home while his family gathers for the holiday season. The house is isolated in a snowstorm and the phone lines have been cut. Eight women are his potential murderers; his calculating wife, his two mischievous daughters, his meddling mother-in-law, his neurotic sister-in-law, his sexy sister, the faithful family cook and the sultry new maid. Each woman is a suspect. Each has a motive. Beautiful, tempestuous, intelligent, sensual and dangerous...One of them is guilty. Which one is it?

This is a very unusual murder/mystery, which is also a musical, but it all works very well. The acting by all is truly superb. I got it for the beautiful Catherine Deneuve to see what her later movies are like now. Absolutley loved her in it. Don`t let the fact that even though it`s a French movie put you off, though I don`t know why it would, but the English seem to have an aversion to foreign films!
Excellent movie

I really enjoyed this film! it's a musical though, which i wasn't expecting, but this turned out to be an added bonus! It's very french in that it's a bit odd but if you can appreciate it for what it is you'll enjoy it. A lot of big French actresses in it and wonderful performances!
