I haven't met anybody who doesn't like this show and I doubt I ever will. However many people do look at this show and think of it as a cult show and dismiss it completely because of that. To these people I say you could not be more wrong. This show is as well acted, directed and written as anything you have seen or will ever see.

One of the main strengths of this show is its character development. There are a lot of changes even from series to series and you get to see each character deal with the new challenges that are presented to them. With Buffy specifically we first see her as a high school student, then her going off to college, then working in a burger restaurant, then having to be a mother figure to her sister dawn. This is the reason you end up caring so much about what happens to the characters as you end up knowing them so well.

However the winning factor for this show was that the supporting characters were just as appealing as the lead, from Willow the lesbian witch to Anya the former vengeance demon. Above all others, though, it was James Marsters' turn as Brit bloodsucker, Spike, who most frequently stole the show.

The very essence of girl power, Buffy was an arse-kicking babe with a smart mouth. It doesnt get much better than this. FANTASTIC
