X-Files: Complete DVD Collection Box Set

At the price this is incredible value for nearly 9,000 minutes (c. 150 hours) of entertainment. The set comes with the TV pilot, 200+ episodes and the first film (the link between series 5 and 6). Simply put, it's so good and so much in one box that X-Files fans will be glued to their screen for weeks or months to get through them all (terrible, isn't it?)

As you might expect from a 9 series run, there are a couple of ropey episodes; But on the whole this is a gripping and addictive program which has been rightly dubbed one of the best ever

my sisters partner got this box set when it first came out. i had never really watched it just seen the odd episode now and again. i caught them watching it one afternoon and literally got hooked i borrowed the set constantly after that and knew i just had to buy it. this Christmas i received it and i couldn't be happier!! i watched them all over again over Christmas. from the shows deep story lines to the monster of the week episodes you just wont be able to get enough of this set!!! any x- files fan should own it. the truth is out there!!!

it took me about 4 months to watch it from start to finish and i enjoyed every episode it has a really good cast including my favourite's Bruce Campbell (evil dead) lance henriksen (aliens) jack black (school of rock) Lucy Lawless (Xena) Robert Patrick (Terminator 2) and of course David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson who are the main two cast members and are brilliant in every episode.

The best season has got to be season 2 and the worst is probabily season 9 but to be honest i really enjoyed it all the way through

This collection is so amazing !! The price is gr8 and I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about; packaging is very good and I had no problem with discs etc. everything in perfect condition. If you're a fan I don't need to tell you the series is amazing and there is absolutely no reason 4 not buying this item !!

Growing up, I tried to watch as many episodes as possible but thanks to this box-set I get to relive all of those classics that were made! To be honest, in Europe there is a different set (looks like an archive box) that seems prettier but, for one, it doesn't hold the first movie! This aside the box looks great, the DVD covers have that X-Files feel to them and the included booklet is a great way to emerge yourself into all nine seasons. It'll surely take me a while to finish the set even without looking at all the extra's!

This box set is brilliant! I'm so addictive and have no life at the moment like the last reviewer. The special features are so good and there are very good interviews. I'm loving the whole lot of it and don't want it to end! Looking forward to watching the latest film again when I'm finished.

ok, First of all the price is amazing! I looked everywhere for this on the net and play.com was the cheapest.
Arrived in no time, well packed and very pleased!
I have been watching it for the last 2 weeks now and have to say..I have had no life at the moment haha
The Story is very deep and it only gets deeper as you sit back and watch more of the episodes.

One thing I do not understand though, is why does season 1 to 5 not come in widescreen? This is the only think that ennoyed me a bit as it just looks a bit odd, considering It's DVD

Apart from that, this is a must own if you love anything to do with aliens, conspiracy! comes in a beautiful box art and with a collectors edition booklet explaining all the episodes! tones of extra too!
and no reason not too buy , especially at the price!

This is by far the best series i have ever scene and to own them all in this very cool boxset is a great thing. I was bought this by my fiancee for my 21st birthday and have had hours of marathons of great entertainment. X files has always been the starting point of sci fi and it is hard to believe that people we see in movies and tv shows, most of them started right here. This is a fantastic gift for any sci fi fan. By far the greatest TV series to date.

X Files is probably one of the best tv shows ever, a must see for sf fans and people who like a compelling and fascinating show. I won't bother you with a description of the show itself, since thats easily available, but I will tell you more about this collection box. The complete box looks stunning, every season has a nice looking independant box as does the movie. The looks alone make it worth buying. Total runtime is approx. 8874 minutes divided into 9 seasons and the first movie. International buyers might be interested to know that various subtitles are available:
Season 1: English
Season 2 -8: English, Dutch, French, Italian and Greek
Season 9: English, Greek and Italian
Movie: English, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Portuguese, Hebrew, Polish, Czech, Hungarian and Icelandic
