Everyone says this is a brilliant film but I say it's ok I admit that it is funny at bits and contains a lot of gore and i do recommend it to some people but it's not as good as people say. If you wanna see a good film you should see Shaun of the Dead(2004) now that's a great comedy/zombie movie.

this movie is good entertainment. its overall percentage of funnyness is very high. and certainly higher than in most other comedies (a few exceptions not mentioned). the humour is intelligent and often hidden in wordgames, putting textphrases out of their context, repetition, or just the way of acting. you'll need a second watch to get all the jokes right and fully appreciate it, but the story looks even more clever when you see it again. the second watch made it a five * rating.
if you're a fan of simon pegg and nick frost, you should also try out their earlier work together in 'shaun of the dead' and the series 'spaced' (also available at play.com)
although the angle in the series is quite different from the one in shaun of the dead and hot fuzz, they manage to get you laughing out loud with their peculiar humour, good typecasting and well developped characters. the series is also directed by edgar wright, their 'constant' partner in crime. give it a try...
and for now: just enjoy this movie!

watched this film at cinema and thought it was average, but then watching the dvd ive got to love this film, great acting from simon pegg, this is a great comedy film with abit of suspense on who is the killer. very good ending to an enjoyable film.
If you liked shaun of the dead you will certanly love this

At the cinema I didn't much like this effort, and didn't find it particularly amusing. However since buying the DVD and watching it a number of times it has really grown on me, and like SoTD is a film that gets better the more you watch it.

Much like Max and Paddy, it is slightly disappointing when compared to the original comedy material, in this case SoTD, but still an enjoyable two-odd hours spent. Rent it before you buy

I watched it like 9 times now. I love it and i would recomend to everyone. If you like comedy a bit of mystery and just plane funny this is the movie for you.

i actually live 10 minutes away from where this film was shot, and have shoped in the supermarket where Timothy Dalton worked, anyway i thought the film was as good if not better then shaun of the daed, and i hope Edgar Wright continues to make film

I loved it. I watched it last night. The movie reminded me a lot of sean of dead-pub scences, ice-cream...made me laugh out loud and enjoyabe. totally recommend it to everyone

I loved this film! it was excellent, the end when they all use the guns is one of the most fantastic scenes in a film i have ever seen! simon pegg and nick frost in films make comedy gold! with all the special guest appearences it helps the story progress and it is watchable over and over and over and over again! BUY BUY BUY!

Loved it! Watched it when I went on a school trip to Germany. Everyone on the bus was laughing!
