Resident Evil:
Close enough, and true enough to the game that few could complain - and yet they did. Alice does the biz
Rsident Evil: Apocalypse:
Better than the game in so much as it's all action, and those who never played the game would really enjoy the movie. Lots of zombies, short skirts, bullets and blood
Resident Evil: Extinction:
By now the average 'gamer' is gonna hate this - they still live in the last century (or something?). It's a great action movie, but you know it's not over yet
Love the movies? Good! Love the game? So play away
Ding Dang Do! Top class

3 great films! Just get better and better! Each one leaving the next wide open! Pray lots of money are spent on the next to take it to an even higher level of zombie mayhem!?!? These films are absolute classics and a must buy for any lover of the games... Milla is just so hot which is just an extra bonus!
Ruined a Brilliant Gaming Saga!

There are thousands of phrases that could negitively describe how bad these three flims are but at the end of the day, the Movie trilogy has ruined and poisoned the image that the computer game spent building! Why didnt they just keep to the computer game foundations which every gamer turned movie watcher could have personally related to having experienced the game and the character relationships. Never go off track when producing a Movie about a successful and unstoppable GAME!!!
Bring on Resident Evil 5, to Rectify what has been ruined by the flims....
excellent

The first film was epic. It wasnt tied into the games' actual storyline, but it was a great action packed thriller. The only references to the games are zombies and the licker..
The second film uses Nemesis as the bad guy and it looks ridiculously fake. All plasticy ad rubbery, doesnt look menacing at all!
The third film is a joke. Boring, dull, confusing and using one of the enemies from Resi 2 as the end character just puts a big loop on the "time line".
Just buy the first film, or else you will be disappointed with the latest two.
AMAZING

Top 10 DVD Reviewer
This is a pretty good zombie trilogy, based on the popular series of video games. All are made on a mid-scale budget, but manage to look far more expensive than they really are. The films on there own are no great shakes in the realm of horror, and with more competant directors like George.A Romero could have been classics. But to watch them back to back make more satifiying viewing. Milla Jovocich is excellent as Alice, she really is good in the action scenes. As for the zombies..
RESIDENT EVIL 2002
The first films Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson ( Event Horizon, Alien Vs. Predator) has decided to stick to the games slow moving undead, these zombies show very little menace, but Anderson does create some good amounts of suspense, and some of the action is brutal. The best part of the film is the shutting down of the complex as the "T" Virus is unleashed.
This is no classic , but one of the best video games to movies to date.
***
RESIDENT EVIL APOCALYPSE 2004
This sequel to the 2002 original is a slight step backwards.
The virus has escaped and turned most of the residents of Racoon city into the undead.
The action is as good as ever but very implausable, and the film lacks any suspense or scares.
also the film suffers from poor acting and a terrible man in a monster suit as the Nemisis.
Not a terrible movie but at times comes pretty close!
**
RESIDENT EVIL EXTINCTION 2007
Ths is a welcome return to form, directed by Russell Mulcahy (Highlander) The film is set a few years after the second chapter where the undead have taken over the world, and what is left is desert!
The film runs like Mad Max with zombies, as the last strands of the human race make plans to take there last stand against the undead.
The rusting landmarks of Las Vagas are outstanding, and the film is the best of the trilogy. This is a very rare Horror film as it is set in the daylight. The Zombies in this are far more rotten and credit should go to the effects guys.
The film like the rest of the trilogy is no classic, but is a great action packed horror movie.
***1/2
This box-set is worth the money if your a big fan of the series, but if your a casual viewer I suggest you wait a few month as no doubt the price will drop.
Brain dead but very entertaing!
