Tim Burton is my favourite film director of all time and Johnny depp is a amazing actor. They suit each other very well in the film industry and every film they bring out together is great. Not only this, the film was awesome, it was hilarious. With a great storyline, funny characters, awesome special effects and a great twist at the end! A must see for Tim Burton fans - Actually, a must see for everyone!!

Not the best of Burtons work

With a great ensemble of today's finest actors and a fan of Tim Burtons work i had high expectations that again a great masterpiece of cinema would be created but sadly no - Dark Shadows starts off promising as we are introduced to the characters and premise of the film but as it progresses it falls flat on its face by becoming boring and unfunny, lacking a detailed or exciting plot or any real interesting characters. As a high point the film does show off stunning visuals but overall personally I wouldn't recommend it. If you are a big Tim Burton or Johnny Depp fan give it a watch but compared to Burtons other work i would give this one a miss and go and watch Beetle Juice or Edward Scissorhands instead.

  Disappointed

Great film to start off with, funny and entertaining however towards the end i became quite bored, i thought the ending was pretty poor. Johnny Depp's character is great, i just think the whole story could have been better. Not the best Tim Burton and Johnny Depp pairing!

Don't believe the negative reviews - I really enjoyed this film, as did my friends and family.

In a word "Awful".
Its not a comedy, its not a black comedy, its not a drama... avoid disappointment buy something else.
