Touted as the next great family drama, Brothers And Sisters explores the highs and lows of The Walkers - a postmodern American family and their delicate relationships. The series features Sally Field (Norman Rae), Tom Skerritt (Picket Fences), Rachel Griffiths (Six Feet Under), Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal) and Rob Lowe (The West Wing).
William (Skerritt) and Nora (Field) have raised five unique children, all battling complex problems. Kitty (Flockhart) is an outspoken political commentator who begins a relationship with charismatic Senator Robert McCallister (Lowe), while Sarah (Griffiths) balances motherhood with managing the struggling family business. Tommy (Balthazar Getty) is the loyal son who manages the Walker family business with Sarah. Kevin (Matthew Rhys) is a gay lawyer coming to terms with his sexuality, while Justin (Dave Annable), a veteran of the war in Afghanistan, battles drug addiction.

Loved it! Best thing i have watched in a long time and also loved series 2. Cant wait for series 3 x

This is one of the finest programmes ever made - the entire cast have an amazing screen presence, including the amazing chemistry between Sally Field and Calista Flockhart. The writing and storylines interwine brilliantly. Fantastic drama in a family setting we probably all recognise to some extent. Brilliant. Do not hesitate to buy this excellent first season. By the end of the pilot you'll be hooked - you won't believe it is a pilot, such is the quality.

I was totally hooked on this show from the very first episode. I think it's one of the best TV series we've had in the last few years.
The characters are totally believable, because I think every family can identify with sibling rivalry, squabbles, betrayal etc, on some level, and I feel the show is built on very realistic situations and emotions.
I think it is brilliantly written, perfectly cast, and wonderfully acted, so much so, that you almost forget it's a TV show, and get drawn in to the situations and emotions of the characters.
At times, it made me laugh out loud, and cry my eyes out!
An addictive show, that leaves you gagging for more, and at the end of each episode, annoyed that you have to wait a whole week for the next one!!!
