I know you do not but a Vinnie Jones film for the acting but this takes the biscuit. The film has an awful score, poor acting and a terrible script. I think it would have been a more enjoyable time had I stuck hot needles in my eyes, certainly less painful. If you wish to buy a good movie then avoid this like the plague.
Absoluteley sickining.

Well, were to begin? I cannot even begin to comprehend why anyone would make such a dreadfull film. Who the HELL is the main guy? how can he even be called an "actor"??!?!? After watching this I ran to the toilet and scrubbed my eyeballs with a scouring pad and toilet duck Then recieved counciling from various physciatrists. I have now developed a crippling phobia of films and have employed a personal film "taster" to watch all my films for me before hand to prevent anymore "accidents". My freinds now bring this film out around partys for everyone to watch so they can laugh at how Absolutley Dreadfull it is. I would write more about how terrible this film is, But I really would be wasting my time but heres a tip, Save both your time AND your money. DO NOT BUY THIS FILM.

You breathe a sigh of relief when you realise whats happening at the beggining isn't really the real acting... and again when this shockingly poor film is over
Not really heart pounding action, just Vinnie Jones yelling.

Number One Girl is a somewhat flawed attempt of trying to put together a story with some fights. I say this because it takes a good hour into the film to actually see any fights - then you get several crammed into the final twenty minutes of the film. Not exactly heart pounding action.
It's a standard action story, mob boss Vinnie Jones invites his action movie star to come judge a beauty pagent. Unfortunatley, his friend has the eyes for the most beautiful girl in the contest - Jones' girl. Cue a lot of shamefully silly romance, Vinnie Jones face pulling, and the late Pat Mortia as a beauty pagent host. Couldn't they not get William Shatner?
It's compently shot, best worth watching with beer, take away and if you have 80 minutes to kill. Not brilliant, an interesting take on an action film, but when the most experience actor seems to be Vinnie Jones....oh dear.

As someone who spent a number of days working on this film, I could tell from the off that it was not going to be a screen classic. Vinny Jones can not act for toffee. Even if he liked toffee, he would not be able to perform and sustain a character long enough to earn a piece. Pat Morita personally told me that he thought the script was bull**** and had no idea what he was doing being in it.
This film plays out like a Jim Davidson pantomime. It's probably got some of the same jokes too, they have definitely stolen they same performance style. Mister Jones obviously thought he was onto a good thing as he was "headlining" the film, unfortunately Vinny, there's more talent a dry roasted peanut. The plot is laughable, the acting is non-existent, the "action" could be seen in an episode of Buffy and the Director will be lucky to work again.
What a shame Pat Morita (Mr Miyagi to us 80's kids) died shortly after making this filth, a wonderful man with more talent in his beard. Vinny should give up this acting lark, and find a job he's actually good at for once in his life.
Don't waste your time or money...or your life, it's another misogynistic film with girls (Not so much pretty) not wearing much with men trying to act hard.
Definately one to miss!
