As my title suggests this offering has nothing to do with part 1, which is a good thing as the the first film was so dull it was like watching paint dry!
This direct to DVD cash-in is livened up with more gore, and has a little more restraint with the CGI (I don't think the budget to stretch that far!) but is again let down by similar problems to the first film, by being just dull, and nothing in this film will make it stand out from the rest of the long list similar movies.
If they decide to make a third part, lets hope they have the sense to make it interesting!

This as a stand alone horror is not bad at all.. gore scares it has it all.. But boogeyman is a ghost type charactor this is nothing like the 1st one.. Expect a twist which if you look you can work out but all in all they used the name and story to tell a slasher horror tale. It could be called Boogey Dreams or something like that it doesnt deserve to have boogeyman 2 in the title.. Buy this if you want to add to your collection of horror but do not expect the terror and style of boogeyman this is like the nightmare on elm street part 2 it doesn't fit in as much as the other movies. I hope they make a part 3 and bring back the charactor as portrayed in part 1.
