The wild and wicked world of Brian Jones.

Brian Jones was more than just a 'Rolling Stone', he was their founder member, their leader, their visionary and their most gifted musician. The face of the sixties revolution, his blonde ambiguous style and considerable talent inspired enormous curiosity. Director Stephen Wooley, has spent the last 10 years researching events surrounding Jones's suspicious death, and Stoned charts the rise and eventual fall of one of Britain's original rock stars.

Moving to London at 19, Jones finds fame and fulfilment as he steers the 'Stones' to their first great musical successes, but it's a short-lived happiness. Re-creating the nightmare as it plummets out of control, with the fragile but tempestuous and increasingly unpredictable Jones hounded by the authorities, busted for drugs, embroiled in controversies and indiscriminate sexual encounters, passionately, bizarrely and sometimes violently besotted with his great love, Anita Pallenberg, who abandons him for Keith Richards and finally fired by the band he had formed and obsessively nurtured to their coming of age.

His final days are played out at Cotchford Farm, Jones's East Sussex country retreat and the former residence of AA Milne, who Brian revered. Comforted by his latest flame, Anna Wohlin, the 'Stone's' organisation closely monitor him. Brian decides to make some home improvements and hires Frank Thorogood on the advice of his road manager... What follows is a murder mystery that remains unsolved to this day.
