This is comedy at its best...a cast that all are believable and funny from Chain Smoking Madge in her scooter to Johnny Vegas and his PA (really his mum) i laughed so much watching this and will watch it over and over as it never loses its comedy value.

I always watch this with my family and we have a great laugh. Comedy Genius at its best. The only downside for me is that Johnny Vegas dosen't feature much in it and isn't the funniest character. All in all if you havn't watched this sitcom before i'd reccomend you did.

This show is side splittingly funny and the thing that is the funniest about it is that all of us who have been on package holidays can easily recognise somebody we have come across on our travels, well maybe not the swingers or maybe some of you have done!!! The permi- tanned, chain smoking granny in her electic wheel chair is a classic comedy character and, for me, steals the show and her double act with her Chav son in law is comedy banter of the highest order. I can`t recommend this show highly enough and the best thing is is that series two currently showing on TV is even funny than this series. For comedy one liners and observations of the British abroad, no matter how embarrassing some of us might find it, it is unsurpassed since the eighties in my opinion. Buy it, watch it and enjoy it.

Benidorm is a comedy about a chav family from lancashire, and various couples going on a cheap package holiday to an all inclusive resort.

I think the show was an absolute classic. It was a hilarious, well written comedy with a fantastic cast.

I especially liked the Garvey Family, with the chain smoking grandma 'Madge' and the pregnant teenager 'Chantelle'. The show provided many laughs, and so far is much better than the second series!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars An absolute gem

This is one of the best new comedies to hit our screens in years. Derren Litten was one of the main writers for the Catherine Tate show and that show suffered as a result of Derren leaving after the 2nd series. The 3rd series of that show just didn't cut it, such is the quality of his writing. He's now branched out and penned this comedy on his own, and how it shines. It's rare in this day and age to find a laugh-out-loud comedy but this one does it for me. The characters are well rounded and their types are all well known to every one of us. The strength of this show is the incredibly insightful writing. Derren doesn't have to rely on ludicrous or unbelieveable storylines. His characters exhibit personalities we've all seen while on holiday and are all the more believable for that. It's a hilarious peek at the Brits abroad who range from the decidedly chav to the posh wannabees with everything in between. Special mention has to be made of the middle-aged swingers and the chain-smoking, sunworshipping wheelchair user who keep us all in stitches. It's a well-written, well-acted, laugh-out-loud comedy and there are very few of those around. We're well into the second series on the TV now and if anything the 2nd series is even funnier. Benidorm is fantastic.
