I am a huge fan of Donnie yen and i think hollywood is missing out on a talented action star but i must say this is film not at all entertaining. I found the whole film boring only the last 15 minutes had some action but even then it wasnt impresive considering donnie has done some awesome films. Watch Big Boss or tiger cage 2 then you see his true talent
Over sold"but contains some good Action.

The Reason i said this film was perhaps Over sold was because even though it does Contain some good action scenes,it,s not the non stop Action fest some of the reveiws and the box cover would have you believe. The film genuinely doesent realy ignite until around the 5O Minute mark,From then on it,s pretty much relentless, with a Fantastic Gun battle and Chase and a nice Close combat battle Fight,Any fans of This type of film should check out the final 20 or so minutes. This films also in Mandarin with subtitles"not dubbed"thats to the dude below, even thou he may have seen it by now.
should I buy this

I really cant see why to god this pile of utter guff is getting so much praise, its a so called kung fu action film that leaves the action until what the last 15 minitutes?
So for around an hour and 10 were treated to some of the most trite cliche cop pap ive ever seen.
Films like ong bak worked because they trully embraced what they were, ong bak had one of the worst plots ever but it was full of some of the most amazing action and fights id ever seen.
And because of this the trite story became something to chuckle at until you got to the next fight scene.
Films like flash point seem to think there the new infernal affiars minus the decent plot and decent actors, why fill a film like this with z grade action stars if your going to fill the film with about 10 misn with of action.
Waste of money!
A brilliant Hong Kong action film

Donnie Yen deserves to have a bigger reputation. His fight choreography in this film delivers on every level. In my humble opinion the fight scenes in this film are better than those in the Bourne films. In Flashpoint you can actually see whats going on, making you appreciates the talent on display much more. All in all I thoroughly recommend this film!!!!
Hong Kong dont make like this anymore

100% Agree with Direct Film, Movies like this are now very rare with only SPL as a comparison. Great Fight Scenes, Donnie is the one of the very few of real deal left from the greats out of Hong Kong, with Jackie, Sammo and Yuen getting on..See this movie!! and SPL!!!!
Awesome - Must See Flashpoint

If you are a Donnie Yen fan then you are going to love this moive. If you haven't come across Donnie Yen yet then you are in for a real treat. He has his own unique stlye of fighting that keeps you hanging on for more and this film really shows off his amazing talent.
A fantastic roller coaster ride of a film with kick arse action all the way. Superbly shot so that you get to see the action from various angels with lots of clever filmography to show of pure talent of Yen and his talented support cast. Think Borne Ultimatem stlye and you get the picture. Lots of hand to hand combat but great gun action too. You really do think that people are fighting for their lives. Loved it....
