Sex And The City: The Movie

why watch the sex and the city movie when you can watch paint dry waste of money buying this will be a massive regret

Firstly let me tell you guys i'm a 23 yr old male, & i was literally 'dragged' to the cinema by my girlfriend to watch this film. I have to say that i was expecting to be totally bored out of my skin & fallin asleep. Unfortunately, & to my dismay, i actually liked it! Infact, a few times i actually found myself laughing out loud. Yes it is a chick flick but it's probably the best one i've seen (..& I'm not saying i've seen a lot.) I would def recommend this film & will probably buy it for my girlfriend to watch again (**Cough*** or maybe for myself ****Cough****) |Oh, & Kristin Davis is quite a fox!! (just thought i'd throw that bit in aswel)

I admit it, I'm a guy who was a fan of the TV series. It was hilarious and it was groundbreaking TV and I did want to see the film - though I waited until a coule of weeks had passed so I wasn't totally outnumbered!

The good news is that if you loved or liked the series, you'll adore the film. The girls are back and finding out that happy ever after isn't as easy as it seemed back in 2004 when we last saw them. Carrie and Miranda in particular have the biggest stories, although Samantha is her usual outrageously funny self (the best lines are hers) she too must face some hard relationship realities with Smith.

The clothes (if you're a woman) are undoubtedly an attraction as well and all the gasping must have meant they were good! On the negative side the film is about a half hour too long though and it meanders a bit in the mid-section, as our gals lives unravel before they can try to fix them again!

Anyway, it's still a very good comedy and deserved it's success.

I have never really watched the TV series of sex in the city and was therefore unsure if I would follow the storyline or really understand the film but I was blown away by how well this film has been put together. I had no trouble at all following the plot and empathising with all the characters. The dialogue is incredibly clever for a romantic comedy and I found myself laughing throughout. A great feel good movie for a girls night in.

During the original years, the girl I was living with made me watch these as compensation for football. However I became hooked due to the quality and humour. With so much hype surrounding this movie, it could have all gone wrong..... I think although the plot for me was very obvious (you could see most of the events coming a mile away), there was less humour than before and a much more serious tone, it still worked really well. It still had the TV feel about it, could almost have been a 2 part special rather than a full blown feature film. That sounds like a criticism, but it is not as I think that is what works best. For me this has to be the very last though, the girls are just that bit too old now to make it work (HD doesn't do Miranda too many favours!) and it's time to say goodbye to the handbags and shoes for good.
