Bonjour! And welcome back to the café Rene in the picturesque town of Nouvion, in occupied France - a place where it seems everyone wants to be. Everyone except our two escaped and hapless British airmen, that is. But with Germans everywhere, how will they make it back to England? They could try disguising themselves as bridesmaids, they could try masquerading as sacks of potatoes, and they could even try hiding in coffins. You'd better pour yourself a glass of vin rouge, and toast them on their way-they're going to need all the luck they can get.
Episodes:
1. Desperate Doings In The Graveyard
2. The Gestapo For The High Jump
3. The Nouvion Oars
4. The Nicked Airmen
5. The Airmen De-Nicked

I've been waiting eagerly for this release and it certainly does not disappoint. The plots seem to get more and more elaborate as Rene desperately tries to live a peaceful life in occupied France (not easy when he's the "hero of the resistance" and is trying to have an affair with both his waitresses - without his wife knowing!)
In this series we get to meet Officer Crabtree's potential love interest (a fellow agent with a very dodgy French accent). The resistance are still trying to get the British airman back to England whilst Herr's Flick and Von Smaulhausen are still trying to capture them and there is a brief change of command within the German Army when General Von Flockenstuffen takes over from General Von Klinkerhoffen!
An excellent comedy series that is very much recommended!

Having bought all the previous five series from Play.com, I can't wait for 6 & 7 to be released. First they were due in March 2008 then deferred to July 2008. What a disappointment having to wait so long. I've seen the entire series many times on BBC TV so, listen very carefully, I shall say this only once, I have no hesitation in awarding it five stars in advance.
