Four teenagers and one Great Dane travelling round in the sleek, get unreliable Mystery Machine that has a knack for breaking down in front of trouble. What could happen?
Scooby-Doo could happen.

No matter how you look at it Scooby-Doo: Where Are You? Is the classic and undeniably fun series that follows a strange gang of youths as they solve mysteries and unmask stranger villains.
The show had everything from gags to suspense and it did it so beautifully. People have often knocked the animation of the original Scooby-Doo drawings but they need to look harder. The water painted backgrounds were dark and creepy and excellently painted and the cut out, bold painted gang were put over the backgrounds thus creating this animation. Glitches occurred like Shaggy would often turn blonde, Scooby's arm would turn green or smaller yet Scooby's ears would appear outside the Mystery Machine but this was 1969 and computers weren't depended on yet used at all.

The stories were fresh and exciting but the only problem with this show was the neglect of Fred, Daphne and Velma. The show was Scooby-Doo yes but sometimes I found you needed a break from the constant gag which was Shaggy and Scooby and get to the more straight characters. When I was younger I loved Scooby and Shaggy's goofy tone but now older I realise how much I would love to see the other characters get involved.
But they're more involved in later cartoons such as What's New Scooby Doo if you enjoy watching those three,

The voice acting was amazing.
Don Messick as Scooby-Door was perfect and in my opinion there is no other Scooby-Doo.
If you're new to Scooby-Doo then watch these: the best Scooby cartoons ever. Or if you're like me just wanting to re-live childhood memories then pick up this DVD. I watch this DVD regularly and as the episodes are quite short it's easy to pop a disc in and watch an episode before going to school, college, work or whatever.

Five stars well deserved Scooby.

If like me you grew up watching these amazing cartoons you will love this amazing boxset.
Spread over 3 disc is the first 2 series of the ever popular Scooby Doo the cowardly dog and his 4 friends Shaggy, Daphne, Fred and Velma who just cant help but find trouble and solve the mystery.
This boxset is superb value for money as you are getting 3 discs full of classic Scooby adventures full of classic episodes and is certain to keep any Scooby fan happy for hours.
Its a shame they have never released Series 3 and 4 on Region 2 DVD but you can import these on U.S Region 1 DVD and is again well worth doing as they are full of superb Scooby episodes.
