Ben Stiller coming in here with one of his best in years. Vince Vaughn also makes a re-appearence into the real laughter zone. The story is ridiculas and stupid, it's comedy and it does what it's supposed to. From the opening minutes there are laughs, subtle and smart, but as the movie goes on it gets out of control! The jokes get dummer and the audiences laughs get louder. It's a movie which pulls you in early, and keeps you watching right till the very end! Hilarious from start to finish!
I was unsure about this movie because it never got rave reviews when it first came out but it's so underrated! It's silly fun with a weird alien invasion story, a lot of d*ck jokes and a killer cast! It's written by Seth Rogen/Evan Goldberg (same guys who wrote Superbad) So you should know what to expect. Ben Stiller. Vince Vaughn and Jonah Hill doing what they do best. And Richard Ayoade is one of the most underrated British comics ever. He's awesome in this movie. And the twist in this involving him was great. Even tho i really like this movie it's not a comedy diamond like Anchorman or Step Brothers or some of the other brilliant comedy movies that have came out in the last few years. But it's decent and it's funny. So if your a fan of silly, entertaining, magically funny one liner movies like i am then you'll definitely like this movie.
Summing this film up, it is very good, very witty, very funny. The actors are great, even Richard Ayoade, who isn't a very well known British actor. I would definitely say give this a watch.
Ok so a movie with three top comedy stars and an unknown British actor. The film itself is quite funny in places, but the comedy is a mish mash of a lot of other american comedies that you have seen before. The walking in a line hero style that saves the World is getting a bit old and unfunny now, as with a lot of other gags they included in this film. Overall it is an enjoyable watch, maybe not at full price but when it comes down in price, then you can justify the purchase a bit more. Just incase you are thinking about the blu ray version, I would leave that until it comes down in price as well.
