Untouchable, super French film with English subtitles

Lots of laughs in this film, and more than that. It's a really feel good film if you need cheering up, or even if you don't.

 LOL!

I cannot imagine anyone not finding this film both funny and moving. It is impossible not to love both the main characters and it is the sort of film which genuinely makes you feel better for having watched it. Normally my sons of 16 and 22 are very reluctant to bother with films requiring subtitles but even they were drawn away from their iphone and gameboy as the story progressed. Tres drole!

 Fantastic film!

Don't let the subtitles put you off, this film is so good and very funny. I took a chance as it was voted one of the best films of all time and well worth it.

 Enjoyable dramedy.

Although it's based on true events and although the narrative essentially takes the same trajectory as a hundred other buddy movie/inspirational dramas have done this film remains highly enjoyable more to the performances of it's two leads.

When a wealthy Parisien is left paraplegic in an accident he hires a young man from a blighted suburb as his carer. Moving in to a world of high wealth the young man and his employer soon form a friendship and bond that will change them both.

There's a little of Driving Miss Daisy in the DNA of the film even though they remain different enough in many ways, but the performances of Francois Cluzet and especially Omar Sy elevate the film, and with enough laughs and touching moments it's definitely worth catching at least the one time.

Not many extras on the disc though.
