Top 100 Mobile Reviewer

Emmerdale actor Dominic Brunt swaps Paddy's white coat and glasses for a few days away with his lovely (real life) wife Joanne Mitchell. Staying very much in Emmerdale territory, Yorkshire is the perfect setting for a zombie invasion. Without giving anything away whatsoever, director and star Dominic Brunt weaves together a tightly knit tale of a married couple who's problems are about to get much worse, resulting in a crescendo of violence and justified death. Harrowing at times and always captivating, Before Dawn feels like drowning in treacle - it's tasty, and there is no hope. Or maybe there is? The one thing I do know, Before Dawn gives us more than an excuse to shout out and claim the award for best zombie film in years. The special visual make-up effects are staggering, it's beautifully photographed, and the acting is achingly real, as is the emotion from the viewer. This film will leave you thinking long after the lights come back on. As a Yorkshire boy, I'm very proud of our northern talent. As a British film it shines above the typical American efforts. Oh so boring. European and British cinema is fast becoming the stuff that makes legends, so show your support. You've done us proud, Paddy!

Boring, 1 hour and 22 minutes of my life wasted

I cannot believe the customer who has rated this film so highly. I was looking forward to seeing a modern zombie film and after reading the customer review thought that Before Dawn would be an excellent choice, how wrong I was. The film was very slow focusing on the two main characters and their failing relationship. When I finally saw a infected/zombie a good hour into the film they were pretty scary and realistic but that is the only praise I can give this film. I think there was a total of eight zombies in the whole film, there was no explaination to why humans had been infected. The film would of been better if they had shown what was happening to the rest of England instead of leaving it up to the viewers imagination, the ending is very poor and left me thinking....what is that it?. Dont waste your money on this.
