After almost a decade away from the big screen, veteran film director Walter Hill (The Warriors, 48Hrs) is back at the helm with the action thriller Bullet To The Head.

Legendary movie star Sylvester Stallone plays Jimmy Bobo, a jaded hit man who reluctantly forms an alliance with a cop in order to exact revenge on the mercenary who murdered their respective partners.

Full of non-stop explosive action, thrilling fight scenes and classic one-liners, Bullet To The Head is based on Alexis Nolent's graphic novel of the same name. The action packed cast includes Jason Momoa (Conan The Barbarian, Game of Thrones), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (The Bourne Identity), Sung Kang (Fast & Furious 5) and Christian Slater (True Romance).

Stallone has defiantly made a big come back now and has proved he's still a big action star, bullet to the head may not be his best since Rambo but its still a great action movie, it's a simple revenge theme thriller that's fast paced and full of violence, very 80s in its style and theme, its good to see Stallone playing a bad guy criminal for a change too, the support cast was good Jason Momoa (Conan) was pretty badass and played a cool rival to Stallone's character and they have a good showdown together, if you want to see a gritty violent action movie then check it out, it may not be worth a second viewing for some but certainly worth checking out once especially if your still a big fan.

The first film for Walter Hill since 2002 Undisputed shoud have been the return to form we all wished for. As it stands Bullet To The Head is a by the numbers thriller as Stallone is a Hitman taking down the bad guys in a corruption plot. There's nothing we have not seen a million times before and it's clear it's riding the wave of The Expendables oldschool action mechanics. Stallone looks awesome of someone who now can have a buspass. The violence is brutal and the climax Axe battle is worth the wait. It's just a pitty it's so forgettable and predictable.
