A powerful story based on one family's survival of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, The Impossible stars Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor and is directed by J.A. Bayona (THE ORPHANAGE).

Based on a true story, The Impossible is the unforgettable account of a family caught, with tens of thousands of strangers, in the mayhem of one of the worst natural catastrophes of our time. But the true-life terror is tempered by the unexpected displays of compassion, courage and simple kindness that Maria (Naomi Watts) and her family encounter during the darkest hours of their lives. Both epic and intimate, devastating and uplifting, The Impossible is a journey to the core of the human heart.

Iv just watched this film .. Wow .. very powerful indeed, great cast, brilliant acting especially from the 3 young lads, its a sad film but when they get on the plane home you feel relieved for them, its even more sad though because its a true story, Ewan McGregor is fantastic as always, with a great performance from Naomi watts, worth watching :-)

I thought this was a really good film, and more harrowing for the fact it was a true story... Your constantly wanting the main leads to find their family, and it shows the horror of what had been caused. At times I felt I just wanted to cry... I found it very emotional and you constantly want to watch what happens to all the people involved...Anybody thinking of watching it, watch it.. However buy some hankies, because you will want to cry.
