Where it all began!
Such a funny film where 2 very different cultures of policing meet in America. Tucker is hilarious and gets punked by his fellow officers! Great fight scenes where jackie chan just obviously kicks a**.
worth the watch for those who haven't seen it by now, but sure u have!

This is a brilliant martial arts comedy starring the brilliant Jackie Chan and the fast mouthed and sometimes irritating Chris Tucker who play Lee and Carter who have been forced to team up to find the ones responsible for abducting the daughter of the chinese ambassador. This film takes viewers on a wild ride of brilliant fight scenes and some side splittingly funny set pieces. Enjoy

Jackie Chan, the ultimate martial arts/kung fu actor, teamed up with Chris Tucker, the ultimate loud-mouth but lovable actor. You probably wouldn't think it works but it does. Rush Hour has scenes of immense action, hilarious comedy, and even compelling drama. I wont spoil it for you by telling you the plot. You just need to see it. Also, see if you can notice "Lost" star Ken Leung. He looks different in this but you should be able to recognise him. He's one of the main baddies.

Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker are a fantastic comedy duo they work so well together and the double act is what really makes this film shine.
Chan is great as the Chinese cop who is summond from China after his close friends daughter is kidnapped by the Chinese bad guy that killed his partner. The FBI are quick to offload Chan onto an unsuspecting Tucker the wise cracking big mouth LA cop.
They form a partnership that you cant help but like the laughs roll as quick as the superb action and any fan of action flicks or comedy films will love this film.
I really enjoyed this film and found both Chan and Tucker to be great fun to watch the stunts are excellent and Tucker delivers big laughs i cant wait to see the second and third films now.

  Lethal Weapon 5?...

This first installment to the comedy/ action series really takes a lot from the far superior 'Lethal Weapon' series that ended four years before this very good rip-off was released. While lowering the violence associated with the Gibson/ Glover productions, this film replaces it with some very clever martial arts sequences from the martial arts master, Jackie Chan. Not a bad storyline, but it does get repetitive.

Very good and very funny.
Chris Tucker's voice does get annoying after a while but you get used to it.
A tiny bit cheesy and tacky in places but still funny and clever.
It's just the same as any other film, it's not very creative.
The bad guy commits a crime.
The good guys go after the bad guy and the first time they get in a fight the bad guy gets away.
Then right at the end they have a huge fight and kill the bad guy.
There weren't very many special effects used but the explosions were good.
I don't really like the start but it really picks up and you do get into it.
Overall very good but should have done better in places.

This is one of my all time favourite films, the great mix of comedy and superb martial arts makes this a watchable film time and time again. Both the main parts are played superbly by Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan. A must buy if you like comedy and fighting all in one.

  Good. Could be better.

Good laughs. Good fights. No originality, but that's not what you want from a film like this, you want to be entertained. Although it does that, it could do it a lot more. Overall a good film, if you like it I'd definatly recommend Shanghai Noon / Nights, and some of Jackie's earlier pictures (Mr Nice Guy / Rumble in the Bronx).
