  Who says romance is dead?

I like my zombie movies to be action, suspense and gory. And in saying that they usually fall into 2 catagories, the very good or the very bad in terms of story and effects. In fact very few zombie movies have been innovative when trying to be different in the constant wave of Dawn of the Dead clones. However this movie breaks the mould. Warm Bodies has been described as Zombieland meet 500 Days of Summer but I think it is more like Romeo and Juliet meets Dawn of the Dead. This is a love story with a difference as a Zombie named "R" falls in love with a Human and kick starts feelings and emotions that begin a transformation from undead back to land of the living. I found this movie to be new and fresh with new ideas we have never seen before in the crowded Zombie genre. It also proves that Zombie movies don't have to be full of gore. Although there are some gory scenes, it's is handled on a more subtle level so you get the idea of what's happening but you are not privy to gratuitous violence. So for those of you who do not like or watch Zombie films this is a game changer. This is the kind of movie that could introduce people to Zombie movies in the way Shaun of the Dead did. This is a surprisingly good little film that proves that Zombie movies can be intelligent, Zombies can be intelligent and that romance isn't dead. A must see film and a must have for your collection.

  Better than expected!

This is a 12A and I watched it with my family aged 11 upwards. We all enjoyed the film. It's a teen style love story with a twist. Not normally a fan of Zombie films but this was much better than I expected.
