The second season of Hell on Wheels continues the story of former Confederate soldier Cullen Bohannon and his epic journey west as he tries to leave his troubled past behind. Set in post-Civil War America in the treacherous travelling town that services the construction of the first transcontinental railroad, the series examines the greed and corruption in man s constant fight for power.

From the makers of Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead and co-starring Anson Mount (Safe), Colm Meaney (Con Air), Common (Wanted) and Dominique McElligott (The Guard), Hell on Wheels - Season 2 is a thrilling look at one man's pursuit of revenge against the backdrop of a lawless and violent town.

Not as good a season 1

If this show isn't careful we might never see a season 3.The story does not seem to move at the pace of the first season perhaps due to the fact that all characters and situations are now known to us having been built up over the first season. Now it just seems to be incident of the week with no likable characters or gripping story arc.Still better than most stuff out there, just in danger if its not careful of being buried on Boothill just like the Highly superior Deadwood.
