William Thacker (Hugh Grant), is the owner of a bookshop in the heart of Notting Hill in London. One day, by a one-in-a-million chance, the worlds most famous actress, Anna Scott (Julia Roberts), comes into his shop. He watches in amazement as she leaves and he thinks he'll never see her again. But fate intervenes - and minutes later William collides with Anna on Portobello Road. So begins a tale of romance and adventure in London W11. With a little help from his chaotic flatmate Spike (Rhys Ifans) and his friends, Max and Bella (Tim McInnerny and Gina McKee), William seeks the face he can't forget.

I don`t usually like Hugh Grant as an actor, as he just seems to play the same part in every film. He does much the same in this, but the story is so good and the fact that Julia Roberts is in it and the supporting cast are all excellent made this a great film. Still can`t believe I gave 5 stars to a Hugh Grant film, but honestly it IS worth the 5 stars.

 Charming and Delightful Romantic Comedy

Written by the king of romantic comedies, Richard Curtis, comes Notting Hill.
Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts star in this heart-warming, typically British film, which cannot fail to put a smile on your face and a tear in your eye simultaneously. Rhys Ifans plays the character of Grants flat mate and side-kick superbly in this perfect feel-good movie.

Now I wouldn't have said these two together could pull of a good movie, usually two good actors put together can produce a dreadful movie, but this is in fact... EXCELLENT. Lots of funny moments. Lovey-dovey. Very enjoyable and easy to watch. Perfect for romantic comedy fans.

 Fantastic film
