The Fight Continues Between The Soul Society and The Army of the Arrancar.

One hundred and ten years ago in the Soul Society, Kisuke Urahara was appointed captain of Squad Twelve to dissent and controversy. But nine years later, when strange disappearances began taking place in the Rukon District, only Kisuke figured out the identity of the perpetrator. Back in the present, Sosuke Aizen enters the World of the Living on a mission of destruction..

On the box it says it is the "Complete Karakura Town battle arc" - it's not. The last 3 episodes are filler. And it's 4 discs not 2, although there is still the usual number of episodes for a double disc set - but it averages only 4 episodes per disc.

The majority of the dvd box set sees the soul reapers fighting over Karakura Town with a soul reaper guarding each pillar. I won't say how the battle goes, no spoilers here, but the battle is intense.

Just as the battle seems to be reaching its peak, it cuts away to see some back story and a nice trip to the beach for the women's soul reaper society (and some of the men). The filler episodes are good, but let's be honest, it's the battle we want to see. (The anime keeps catching up with the manga, hence the filler.)

In summary, good battles, the tension is building but it is not concluded - yet.
