The full-blooded version of Antoine Fuqua's gritty interpretation of the Arthurian legend with 17 minutes of footage not seen at the cinema!

Britain, the 6th century: Artorious Castus (Owen), better known among his people as Arthur, is the leader of a select group of Sarmatian knights who, after impressing the occupying Roman forces with their fighting skills and righteous honour, have been incorporated into the elite ranks of the Roman army.

However, the occupying forces are withdrawing from Britain to protect Rome from the onslaught of barbarians on the continent and with freedom on the horizon after 15 years of bloody service, Arthur and his knights must protect the liberty of the country from invading Saxons...

 A modern day classic.

A five star entertainment ride! Clive Owen is ace as is his supporting cast (Keira looks sensational) and the action scenes are fast paced and grittily real. A fine film.

This movie may sway slightly from the historical facts of Arthurs birth place (in the movie he suggests he was born in Rome), but the rest of the film has great links to the facts that we believe to be true about the Knight and his men. The battle scene's are shot brilliantly, in particular the battle on the frozen lake mid way through the movie and the final battle. The musical score fits perfectly with the film and the casting director picked his cast with perfect choices with Clive Owen and the beautiful Kiera Knightly playing the lead roles. This is a great movie and well worth the watch. The added extras on the DVD are a treat too. BUY IT!!! You won't be sorry.

When i first watchd this film i wondered whether what they were trying to get acorss to us and wondered whether what i was watching was actually true? why was this produced if nothing has ever been said about this 'King Arthur & The knights of the round table'. Is this a myth of legend. But very good fight scenes & very well made.

 MUST BUY!!

The director, the actors, the technical team & everyone else involved with this production did the memory of King Arthur justice.

What a magnificent piece which involved such drama; from comedy to horror. & Keira Knightley ONCE AGAIN delivers a superb performance which gave this film a real edge to it.

Top quality, 5 star!
