In this final explosive third installment of the Matrix trilogy, the city of Zion, last bastion of the human race, defends itself against the massive invasion of the machines as Neo attempts to fulfill his prophecy as 'The One'. As the Machine Army wages devastation on Zion, its citizens mount an aggressive defense - but can they stave off the relentless swarm of Sentinels long enough for Neo, adrift in a no man's land between the Matrix and the Machine world, to harness the full extent of his powers and end the war?

THE END TO AN EPIC TRILOGY!!!

Ok this trilogy will never measure up to LOTR but it is brilliant in its own right. This third film for me is lacking in terms of what the first 2 had....the first had an awesome plot whilst the second had the plot but stunnng action to boot but this was all about the SFX....not all that bad but it had potential to be so much more. Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishbourne were once again epic. Enjoy

A Satisfying Conclusion to a great trilogy

This is my least favourite of the three, but i believe it is still a great movie, especially the mind blowing end scene, special effects galore, but this one seems to lack the greatness in story to the first two, but apart from that a great closing chapter.

Fitting end to the Matrix Triolgy and NEO's path

A visual spectacular, this movie spends the majority of its time in the 'real' world.

Spectacular action set pieces complete Neo's path as the one with man's war with the machines to save Zion, the last human city and all of humanity plugged into the Matrix.

Initially, like probably everyone who saw this movie's in theatres I left dissapointed, but with repeat viewings this really is excellent.

The fight against the sentinels at the gates of Zion spectacular, have a 5.1 Sound System this will rock your house down. The final Smith (or Smith's) fight against Neo in the crippled Matrix again outstanding as they fly and hit each other with such force you won't help but laugh in awe. Especially as Neo's slow mo fist goes through the rain drops and cracks Smith in the face.

In not spoiling the ending, if you were a fan of the original Matrix then you should see its Neo story through to completion.

Reeves is brilliantly cast as Neo or Mr. Anderson and the acting, visuals and general desgin of the whole Matirx world is breath taking.

However the Warchoski's chose to end there phenomenon would lead to fans wanting more or something else. But this is a great visual specatacular and frankly amazing end to the Matrix

 Dissapointing end to the Trilogy.

Too many minor characters, and too little time spent inside the Matrix make this a darker, duller film than the previous 2. Awsome special effects aside, there isn't a lot to praise about the final chapter of the trilogy.

The final battle is impressive, but underwhelming - and the final fight scene doesn't make a lot of sense.

The ending is a bit cheesy, but still doesn't answer all your questions.

 A complete disappointment

The supposed end to the Matrix trilogy is a complete disappointment. From the slow start where Neo is trapped in some ridiculous place to the final battle with a multiplied Elrond the story simply doesn't hold. It fails to conclude satisfactorily the many, and sometimes even brilliant, lines generated in the previous instalments. I suggest watching the first two instalments and leave to your imagination the conclusion.
