Ray Harryhausen, if you're not familiar, is the king of stop motion. All those old movies you can imagine in your head with those black and white monsters that change size in every shot and moves all clunky and weird, chances are - Ray had something to do with it.

For me, I have little interest in effects, (which were probably stunning then, but now just look hilarious, adding to the charm), what I love is the guy's imagination, his ability to make monster after monster, each one different, he was almost an artist in a funny way, I think

I enjoyed all three of these movies very much, in particular, "It Came from Beneath the Sea!" involving a giant Octopus who decides to wander into San Francisco and, not eat people or anything, just sorta squish them with its tentacles for some reason or another.
