Review

The critically acclaimed drama Skins is back with series 2! Follow the chaotic lives and lusts of a group of spliff-toting, hard partying British teenagers.

It's been six months since Tony's collision with a bus - remarkably he isn't dead, but he sure isn't the same person he used to be.

Sid can't get his head around the fact that his best mate is a shadow of the man he's always looked up to. And to top it off he finally got the girl, Cassie, only to have her whisked off to Scotland. Sod's law. But to Cassie it's totally OK, one day she'll come back and they'll live happily ever after... Yeah right.

Michelle is lost without Tony too, and her Mum has gone and married yet another man - but this time there's a step-sister involved who's intent on trying to make a move on her mates.

Maxxie's got hell at home too because his Dad doesn't want him to follow his dream of being a dancer. Even Anwar has changed since he bagged himself a secret girlfriend called Sketch. Jal is throwing off the good girl image and letting her hair down. And Chris - well getting expelled wasn't his finest hour - but now the party animal is stepping out on his own. And while everything is falling apart, it's Tony's little sister Effy who's taking control.

The complete Series 2 is a three disc set packed with a load of extras including some brand new unseen Skins material.

started off really well first 4 or so episodes were really funny & cleverly written & directed. then comes along the ridicolous effy episode & it all went down hill from there. ended up not caring for any of the characters by the end, except my favourite who they killed anyway. season 1 was better just because it was fresh & raw, totally different to the usual teen crap we were used to watching. then they tried to hard & ruined it in my opioion (cant spell, oops) doubt season 3 wil be worth watching wit new cast. not worth 3 stars, would give it 2 & half, purely because it became so pretentious & annoying towards the end! quite a shame!

Cant understand why series 2 is getting alot of bad reviews
I think its going up hill, its got abit of a dark side now but more laughs,
getting more into the characters, just hope they can keep most of them for series 3 :D

the whole show is just OTT and alot of the stuff just seems pointless. its okay i guess, rather disapointing considering its massive hype. Also alot of the story lines seem random. at one point a character escapes to new york...its kind of like why did the writes chose this? personally buy something with a little more class. im from bristol, where its filmed, so everyone watches it because they reconise where its filmed. i actually go to the same college mike bailey went too but this doesnt make me like the show any more. 2/5 at best
