I can't understand why anybody would give Skins (Series 1 or 2) anything other than 5/5* The storylines are amazing, the cast are perfect and every second of the show is fantastic.

Skins doesn't try and cotton wool everything, which adds to why it is so awesome and while it may not be the same as most peoples lives, it's quite realistic. Better than sliced bread. Lol!

After all the hype that was created over skins i finally decided to get the box set and try get into it. I just found it started off really slow. Eventually i kind of got into it but it was by no means the work of brilliance it was claimed to be. I thought it would be as good as shameless but i was sadly mistaken

Skins is a show that first screened on E4 and due to popular demand was then screened on C4 later on. If there were any justice it will do a 'Friends' and be repeated all the time. It is simply a brilliant show. The writing is moving, yet not OTT, funny yet not inappropriate. The roles played but all the cast are spot on, from the drug addled mind of Joe Dempsie's Chris (my favorite!), to the sensible, academic portrayl of Jal by Larissa Wilson. There is not a cast member that I don't like from the main 8 whilst Daniel Kaluuya's "Posh" Kenneth is a touch of brilliance.

It is going into a 3rd series but with a new cast and a new storyline, we wait to see how this will work.

The 20 Episodes that comprise these 2 series' have been a joy to watch and I will buy this the second it is released and watch it over and over, if only for Sid's song at the end of the first season because, as these excellently made series' show us, it really is a wild world so when its hard to get by just put on a smile and sit down and smile!
