 I feel robbed!

Just started watching this box set and was shocked when I saw only 8 episodes on it! I feel so robbed! How am I going to cope when I have finished them, without the next one out!? i have only had chance to watch 1 DVD so far, but they certainly arent going to last long! The stories are as good as ever, if not better, with the development in the characters. Part 2 better be out soon, or I will have to check myself into the place with the special jackets and padded rooms again!!!!

All I can say is Oh My God

This is a must see start to season 8 ok yes it's only 17 episodes but it is so worth it fans will be hooked to their seats and watch every episode one after another I certainly did! Come on Part 2!!!!

 A once great series wanes.....

If you are expecting a dramatic start to season 8 a la "Grave Danger" and the search for Nick the think again. Series 8 starts with a whimper, a slow, dreary episode in which you never get any feeling of urgency in the search for the missing MIss Sidle! and its not much better after that.
Someone has turned the lights out in the lab as the episodes look very dark and the spark seems to be going out of the show altogether.
Wallace Langham (Hodges) is now a main cast member which, with respect to him, seems pointless. Greg Sanders is supposed to be one of the main cast but you rarely see him..
The "Without a trace" crossover episodes are truly awful with the second (the non CSI one) utilising Grissom quite pointlessly.
So..after so many moans..why two stars ?.
Well, the acting is still pretty good, there are one or two decent episodes and Grissom is always an interesting character to watch..but if CSI is to continue to thrive, they must do better than this!

 Why only 8 episodes...

There is a good reason that there are only 8 episodes in part 1 of season 8 and that is that only 16 episodes were made because of the writers strike in the USA, it's a bit of a liberty that they still feel they can get away with charging the same amount for the DVD though !

I think this has to be the worst series so far though, but that is probably because of the Major changes happening within the series....say no more...but then maybe I am biased now that I have seen CSI NY, so much grittier !!

 this is not the end!

If you seem disappointed with this because it is a few episodes short and think its the end...... your far from it.... The Americans are now on season 9 and everything just gets better plus there will be a big surprise at the end of season 8 and begging of 9..... It all gets better half way through season 8.
