From the director of the die Hard films comes this viking action film. I have to say it had the potential to be one of my favourite films had a great atmosphere to it was shot fantastically, costumes and acting were high yet it was lacking something. I think it was not the most fast paced of movies and the action especially towards the end was so dark that you could not really see anything or who was fighting who! It was a real shame because it was done so well otherwise.Nonetheless i still think it is a good film it just had the potential to be a great one!A real shame!Still worth watching

 GOOD ACTION ADVENTURE

Put aside the slightly absurd storyline of why Banderas' arab/moor is smack bang in the middle of bands of Norsemen, then you have a rollicking adventure which had me on the edge of my seat. One of the other reviewers complained of the lack of light in certain fight sequences but there was a point to this as ihelped add a little bit of mystery as to what was attacking them!!

 Enjoyable viking adventure

An enjoyable action adventure. The action scenes are decent and the acting is very solid. Well worth watching for fans of medieval combat.
