Cellular grabs your attention immediately, even before the opening credits have started appearing you're thrown into the deep end with the kidnapped victim, played by Kim Basinger.
The story is interesting with you very much being in the same position as the kidnap victim and the hero in the way you don't really know much of whats going on, you've literally just been thrown into the deep end. You get little bits of information which the characters dont get but still there's a twist at the end which you won't see coming.
The acting is of a high standard, Chris Evans in the lead role does a good job as the likeable unlikely hero, Jason Statham plays his role as the villain to the best of his ability. All the other cast do fine jobs apart from one person...
Kim Basingers performance is hammy to say the least, she's not believeable as the mother which brought more suspicions when getting into the plot. Her performance is wooden, hammy and just unbelieveable, she seems like a B-rate actress in this movie.... its a shame as the rest do such good jobs.

Overall: Cellular is a fast paced thriller which'll keep you on the edge of your seat with your eyes glued to the screen. The action is exciting and it'll definitely keep you entertainined.
Unfortunately Kim Basingers poor performance along with some badly timed jokes, and some general moments of comedy which didn't really belong in this movie stop Cellular from getting full marks....but non the less:

Jason Statham - doesn't matter if he is the bad guy or the good guy. he makes this a great film with an excellent cast. Never letting up, this keeps your attention. Chris Evans plays the hero and play it with his usual surfer dude arrogance. Kim Bassinger, still sexy!

 DONT HANG UP!!!

This is a very entertaining action thriller where Jason Statham and his group of bent cops hold a woman and her family hostage for footage on a video camera they own and it is up to Chris Evans who recieves a phonecall from Kim Basinger to keep her on the line and lead him to her capters. The movie moves at a pretty fast pace which keeps you on the edge of your seat. Statham is quite good in the vilainous role to show he can play both sides but its Chris Evans who gives a brilliant performance which made the movie all that more interesting. Enjoy

 Positively suprised

I saw that this movie had 6.5 / 10 at IMDb, so I had SOME expectations before I watched the movie. But my expectations were MORE then met. I found this to be a very god movie. Both when it comes to the script, the plot, and the acting in my opinion. It has action, bad guys, god cop, babes, hunks ( I suppose), and some twists. In my opinion this movie should have had closer to 8 / 10 on IMDb...That is why I give it 4 / 5 here...
