Grace, her boyfriend Adam and her younger sister Lee are on holiday in Northern Australia and decide to take a river tour with Jim, their guide. As they drift into a mangrove swamp their boat is suddenly capsized and Jim disappears. Realising they've been attacked by a crocodile, Adam drags Grace to the safety of a tree whilst Lee clings on top of the overturned boat. Adam and Grace frantically try to manoeuvre Lee and the boat to the tree but it is firmly stuck. Stranded in the flooded mangrove swamp, the three holiday makers must work out what to do to survive. They must somehow elude a man eating crocodile, reclaim their overturned boat and get back down river alive. But will they ever make it?

Lets get one thing straight, for those expecting the high budget gloss of Lake Placid will be disappointed. This is a low budget shocker from down under, that has allot in common with the equally good Wolf Creek than anything Hollywood could churn out.
This movie is based on a true story as three holiday makers and a guide decide to go fishing in the swamps, only to become lunch for a blood thirsty Salt Water Crocodile.
The fact that the beast is hardley ever seen is a credit to the director, as although you may not see it, it's presence is always felt. The tension in the film is built to breaking point, as the survivors try to get back to dry land. But the Croc always seems to out guess them. The shocks in the film are great, and some do make you really jump, you always wonder who will be lunch! The film is very unpredictable, and the low camera angles makes the viewer very uneasy. The ending is very unforgiving, and is a welcome bonus. I urge anybody who wants to see a true raw creature feature to watch this. Although it may not be flashy, it has much more bite than the average Primevil Kill and the pathetic Lake Placid 2.
This is a unrelenting true story of survival.
Terrific!

I read the reviews and thought wow this sounds like a brilliant horror croc film.

Was I wrong, ok it had its tense moments, ok the actors wernt that bad, but this film left me bored I didnt jump once and the story has been done many times before. stranded people and a beast trying to kill.

On the plus side tho the croc I have to give it its dues, quiet intelligent - but i wouldnt recommend buying this for 10.99 waiting till it goes down to about a fiver

Very good film. Better than the similar titles. Very tense and show's it in the crocodile's sense in parts which is very clever.
This Croc is definatly out to kill these three people. The bit where he comes up from under the surface with one victim is quite scary really and just show's how intelligent this croc is. A very good thriller. Buy it or rent it. Well worth it. 10/10.

Highly effective and well-made survival horror

Loosely based on a true story (very loosely in fact), this is about the 8th or 9th movie I own about a killer croc or alligator and its one of the best. The direction and sound mix are faultless. What you hear and don't see is so much more effective than the in your face violence of some of todays movies, and I thoroughly enjoyed this film. I recommend watching it in the dark with the surround sound up!

I just watched this and have to say i thought it was superb. it's simple yet incredibly effective. it has a lot of brilliantly tense moment, with the film creeping along at a slow, yet tense pace. i also thought the acting was excellent, and it does contain some of the most gripping moments I have seen in a film for a while. It certainly had me picking my feet up off the floor and squealing a few times lol. Brilliant!
