Slow starter but good second series

Heroes proves itself on that difficult second series that its just as watchable as ever. I felt though like the first series it followed the "slow start" formulae a bit too much for my liking cos the first couple of episodes aren't up to much but it does get better.
The second series actually introduces some decent new characters the best of which being Stephen Tobolowsky's character as the new company man. The other characters are given fair representation aswell, although it does take a while for some of them to come into the show. As usual though the best moments involve Noah, Claire, Hiro and Ando, and of course the villainous Sylar. Because of the writers guild strike I felt they rushed the climax of this season but it is definitely a good ending and one worth watching.
So I can't wait for Heroes season 3 to come on as hopefully it will be just as good as this.
All things in moderation? Naa!

I was dissappointed to find that season 2 is just 11 episodes long rather than the 23 episodes of season 1. It all ended too quickly and not a great deal of storyline twists and cliffhangers were present. The first season was far more epic. The first season had bad guys turning out to be good guys and then actually bad guys for real. Season 1 was a real thrilling storyline and quite a mindtest to keep up. Season 2, on the other hand, was too simple. No real twists in the storyline and some characters never even crossed paths or had anything to do with eachother. We need something more lengthy and clever for season 3 please Tim!
Not rushed, just perfect!

I have to disagree with con23liam comments about this season of Heroes being "Rushed". This was never the case; due to the writers strike in America (wiki it, it really happened), shooting of season 2 (from episodes 12+) were therefore put on hold.
During this time Tim Kring recived feedback from many fans of the show explaining how, even though season 1 was great, it was dissapointing to see season 2 going the same was with the long drawn out story arcs. Tim Kring, actually listening to the fans, decided to change the shows performance completely, which Is why many people have commented on how much of a difference season 2 is and im sure this will only improved within the comming seasons of the show.
Different? Very much so, in a very good way!
Rushed? Hardly. Worth every hour of your time. BUY THIS SEASON
Best thing on TV

Heroes season 2 (Generations), begins four months after the events of Kirby Plaza (Season 1 - How to Stop an Exploding Man). The main plot arc of "Generations" deals with the Company and its research on the Shanti virus, exploring the history of the Company's founder. Interwoven with the main plot are several secondary plots introducing a host of new characters. These include the journey of new characters Maya (Dania Ramírez) and Alejandro from Honduras to the United States; Monica Dawson (Dana Davis) discovering her powers in New Orleans; Hiro's journey to Feudal Japan, where he meets his childhood hero, Takezo Kensei (David Anders) and Elle Bishop's (Kristen Bell) search for Peter Petrelli.
After a extremely well writing and well acted first season, season 2 is a mixed bag. The introduction of a number of new principle and secondary characters leads to a neglect in the development of some of the original characters, most notably Niki Sanders. Episodes are also slow moving in comparison to the first season, again likely due to the secondary plots involving the new characters. The highlights of season 2 is the portrayal of Angela Petrelli by Cristine Rose, who frequently outshines the principle cast and the introduction of Kristen Bell as the sociopathic Elle Bishop. Standout episodes include; Four Months Ago... & Powerless.

...would you gamble it away?
If you had a perfect, original season 1 of a program so entertaining and unpredictable, why rush a small, 11 episoded, second season?
Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, at all. I enjoyed it, as it kept me watching, which is the secret to heroes, but it just felt so rushed.
Some of the greenscreen effects were Abysmal, like the time Mr. Bennet and the haitian are in Ukraine, i understand the writers' strike made everything squeezed together making it difficult, but Season 3 of 'Prison Break' and Season 4 of 'Lost'.
And why are there additional characters? We don't wanna see them, we wanna see the real characters, not some mexican virus siblings!
I was close to giving this a 3-star review, but because i really liked the first season, and the story is still pretty good; i say bring on season 3!
1 of the best tv shows ever

I've watched all of season 1 and that was fantastic and i've nearly watched all of season 2 and its very good, but like the first season its a slow build up and with season 2 only being 11 episodes long (due to the writers strike), it has let it self down. What they have done instead though has let it self build up for season 3 which hopefully be amazing. Thats why i gave it a 4 star instead of a 2 or 3 because season 3 will make up for season 2.
I would buy this in a few months time, when its came down in price.(With it only being 11 episodes)
Very Good, But Season 1 was Better

I absolutely love this program and have never missed an episode, its up there with the best programs on tv at the moment, if your a first time watcher then you may find the stroyline a bit confusing but its easy to get used to, even though I beleive season 1 is better, i'd give them both 5/5. A thrilling program not to be missed by anyone
Very Different, But very addictive.

This series is slow to start with because it's building up. But once it gets going its really hard to turn off just gotta stick with it.
The actors play their part really well and the way it makes you keep guessing what happens next is brilliant!
It's different from most series on tv.
These normal average peope learning about these abilitys they have and wondering why they have them and what the main purpose of them having them for is great.
I love this series one of the best i have seen in along time and this second season is as good as the first so far!
Highly recomended!
Too similar to Season One

Season two of Heroes is a victim of the success of season one, where it's makers unfortunately became too wrapped up in trying to repeat the previous story's strong points and characters, instead of trying something fresh, which is what everyone enjoyed about the first (despite borrowing themes wholesale from Watchmen). There was no need to bring back Syler and Peter, and the rest of the cast, but because they were, in part, one of the reasons people watched the first series we see them all here again, shoe-horned into a new, but quite familiar plot (more prophetic paintings, more alternate futures, and Syler being oh so nasty for no apparent reason).
I just wish the makers had ditched all the main characters, since their interlinking stories had already been told, and started with a new cast (or perhaps concentrated on some of the more neglected characters form the first, like the telepathic policeman or the telekinetic child, along with a mostly new set of Heroes). We do get new characters in season two, but apart from the mimic girl, are all quite uninteresting.
Season (or Chapter) Three promises more originality, but I fear Heroes has already fallen into the same trap as many other series and is doomed to repeat itself until the ratings fail and it gets cancelled. Perhaps they should have left it at one season, and always be remembered as a classic, and original series.
