Contrary to the description what you have here is a mini prequel split into 7 parts (ie not 7 seperate stories about a vampire hunter). Once you remove the intro, 'previously on 30 days...' and the 'next time on 30 days...' clips, each episode lasts about 2-3 minutes max. So, you have a dvd that has about 14mins of story...sadly because you can't play it as a continual uninterupted episode you spend more time fast forwarding than you do watching!

This really should have been an extra on the main release and it is hard to not think of it as an opportunity to milk more money from suckers like me (and many others). For this reason, just avoid it...nothing can be gained from buying this.

On the plus side however, the production is well done and the acting is sound. It is merely the format that lets it down as well as obviously the length.

A prequel to the movie 30 Days Of Night, made up 7 short episodes at just under 4 mins each, the entire story is under half an hour. Probably made for fans of the graphic novel on which it is based, but a waste of time for everyone else. An unnecessary prequel, the first episode can be seen on this website where the trailer usually plays. Not worth it.

If you are a fan of 30 days of night, the graphic novels that is, you will enjoy this. However, if you want something with a long running time and amazing acting don't buy this. It is pretty sweet but I would only recommend to people who are really into the series of novels. However 4 quid, if you can spare it, buy it.

It is rubbish no real sense just short clips of nowt

Don't buy this expecting that you will see a feature lenghth prequel to 30 Days Of Nights. This is infact 7 five minute episodes of a web broadcat mini-series. Although the episodes have a very short running time,don't let this put you off. The entire mini-series only last 40 minutes,but what you do get is a very bloody and energetic telling of the events that lead up to the seige of the Alaskan town of Barrow in the feature length movie. This disc is a excellent and chilling companion disc to the movie, and at this price who could complain?
If your a fan of the movie this is a must buy.
Bloody good value, and suprisingly entertaining!
