I really do like this film, it's not your every day thriller, with it's limited locations the suspence is high through out the movie. Kidman his very good as the woman in trouble, Sam Neil also is great as her husband who is in almost as much danger, and a young Billy Zane is outstanding as the lone drifter they pick up in the vast ocean, it's a great shame he turns out to be a psycho. The film is full of tricks and mind games as Kidman and Neil try to out smart the cunning Zane. This is a smart and very clever and well directed thriller that reminds me of a Hitchcock film.
Some may complain that the film is dull and lacks the action of most thrillers, and I can see there point, but if you want something different then you must watch it and make your own mind up.

this film was boring it was all in a boat one minute nicole kitman and billy zane was fitting then they were ok with each other it not worth buying .

This film started out ok but the end bit with Billy Zane was jst stupid.

i would give it 3 and a half stars. this is a pretty decent film, but it is one of those films that is great the first time, but then pretty average all the other times, plus billy zane is an idiot
