While Family Guy settling into a semi-rut, American Dad just keeps getting better and better. It's as simple as that! Looking forward to seeing what the Family Guy spin-off 'The Cleveland Show' adds to the table.

Having just finished watching this series, i have to say it's the best so far. The storylines just get better and better, and there were plenty of moments which had me in fits. While im a huge Family Guy fan this cartoon is probably just as good. All 3 series of this excellent cartoon are well worth buying, and im glad i gave it a chance! If you are a family guy fan then these dvds are worth having in your collection. I look forward to the next series... *hopes there is one!*

American Dad is much more clever and risky than Family Guy or Fururama. The characters are a lot more interesting, and in a strange way more believable! Its a matter of personal taste, but this is much more witty than similar shows.

However, this season was initially a bit of a disappointment. The first few episodes werent that great, although some of the later ones were very funny.

Overall, a good show but not the best season!

I have been a fan of family guy for a long time and there just completely different programs which are equally funny, the only things they share is the same type of animation and humour so my advice is try out this program and see what you think.

i love family guy a lot but do your best not to compare the two they are very different!!

In American dad the jokes happen to be in the story where as family guy they are more random and in your face rather having anything to do with the story. But don't forget get they are very different and of course amazing!!! (keep on watchin chaps)

you can't always compare programes because they are usually completely different i sometime feel like watching the clever humour of sout park ratehr than the moronic family guy, thats not to say family guy isn't brilliant most a lot of the jokes are just stupid. American dad is a great show watch it.

American Dad is from the same people but is a totally diffirnet show to family guy. sure the house may be similar and the characters but the comedy is not. family guy is an obvious laugh. it makes fun of things in a very simple and obvious way. American Dad does make fun of the same things but it does it in a less obvious way. you have to think a bit more to apreciate the comedy and allthough some people might not like that or like American Dad at all i prefer it to family guy and would much rather whatch it the family guy. both do deserve respect though as are very very funny in their own ways.

I think people shouldent judge shows based of what they watched i mean you know watching another dvd same maker or not. It's not going to be the same thing you watched.

friends and joey are a perfect example as is family guy and american dad i think Roger is a class character i love brian to so to see them i got to watch both shows you cant watch a show with the same presenter and expect to see what you want to you have to look at the series with its own cast and ideas.

Ive watched every American Dad since they first released it, and i much prefer it to the repetitive nature of family guy. I got bored of Family guy once season 4 came around, but now i dont care as i have another cartoon to fill its place. American Dad seems to really have outgrown FG and the characters were even more developed with back history and interweaving personalitlies after season 2, which eclipses that of the rather random character plot FG has to offer even to this day. If your a fan of the old FG and are finding you really cannot be bothered to watch anymore of its "predictable unpredictable" nature, then you have found your show!

This isnt as good as family guy but this is still freakin' amazing! The episode where stan goes anorexic is hilarious, will get this once it goes down to the usual price of £9.99...!
