Hi,

Can anyone tell me if this great collection of Mike Leigh's films comes with english subtitles? It does say on the product details of this page.

Cheers,

Brian

Life May Not Be 'Sweet' But This Box Set Certainly Is!

A great collection of films here - especially the excellent 'High Hopes' which has always been a particular favourite of mine.

Okay - so the quality on some isn't brilliant - it seems like there's been no attempt to clean up the picture, but that's the only little niggle considering the amount of film you get for your money!

The extras are good too - and one real gem in this box set is the short film 'A Sense of History' written by and starring Jim Broadbent... I won't spoil it for you, but it's a charming and darkly comical characterisation that's a pure joy to watch!

Right - that's my say - I'm off to watch 'Nuts In May' again on VHS - now when will that get it's U.K. DVD release - come on, we Mike Leigh fans are waiting on this one!
