This is the greatest adventure film ever made, It's formular may since have been copied many times, but Doctor Jone's adventures are always a head of the game.
Ford is the perfect action hero as he sets about his globe trotting adventures, as he fights the Nazi scum and collects the relics. The action is still amazing and still holds it's own against todays action epics. The effects still amaze, and without a single bit of CGI in sight. The stunts are all old school and very real, and the violence is quite strong, given the PG rating.
For me Raiders is still the best of the Quadrilogy, and never fails to entertain.
This is a perfect adventure!

Indiana Jones, the film that defines action/adventure...with the lead role played perfectly by Harrison Ford this is still one of the best action films of all time, easy flowing storyline equipped with non-stop action, Indiana Jones is THE action hero of all time and will never be replaced.

Speilberg and Lucas' answer to James Bond was not only a loving update to the saturday matinees of their youth; but a response to the beard being turned down to direct 007. One can only imagine Speilberg let loose on a Bond movie and Raiders is as near as we will come.
The set pieces are well known as is the plot but two things still stand out after all these years-the sheer level of violence for a PG and the anti-climax of the ending after the amazing truck chase.
Still, Raiders raised the bar and set the standard for the modern action movie. And let's face it, who doesn't love the Nazis as villains?

Never gets old, never gets boring - a timeless masterpiece.

this is truly a spielberg/lucas classic absolute must own dvd got the boxset from the states it's just a shame that all these were cut by the bbfc but still worth buying

The raiders of the lost ark as well as the others in the Indy trilogy is filled with action and drama that shows Harrison Ford in a different light than just being known as the scoundral han solo in the star wars trilogy.

One of the greats. A true classic, and everyone should at least see this film if not own it. The best of the three (contraversial), and well worth a buy peeps.
