  Almost perfect

The first film in the trilogy is my all-time favourite film. The sequel manages not to disgrace it by being almost as good, and some say it is even better. The third film is in my opinion a good final installment, but it is over-long. I couldn't give this collection less than 5 stars though. Buy it for the first two and conside the third a free gift.

This film is definately one of my favourites for several reasons.. first off, Marlon brando is flawless, utterly gripping, he brings swave and charm, great emotion and fantastic deminour that brings this film to life, Al pacino also brings a great performance, the whole fim is well crafted, the story keeps you gripped to the screen, the violence and action is second to none, the whole film is awesome, a must, must, must see do not miss the chance to see this *****

  A "Family" Film

When I ordered the Godfather as an avid film fan I had heard of great it was. So when I sat down to watch it I thought it was going to a stereotypical portrayal of the Mob, but its not. It's not about gangsters and people getting whacked, its about a family, and there struggle. The greatest film ever made is an understatement

  The Greatest

The Godfather is highly regarded as being one of the greatest films ever made and the sequel delivered just as much. Marlon Brando portrays a head of a gangster household flawlessly throughout The Godfather. Throw in Al Pacino as one of his Sons and hosts of other superb actors and you have a must own.

Even though this film was made 38 years ago, it is still the greatest gangster film that has ever been made.

  The Godfather Trilogy

Chronicling the lives of the Corleone family, Parts I and II are a true master class in film making. Part III, unfortunately, never quite reaches the same heights, but still adds a satisfactory if unneeded end to the trilogy. What really shines through out is the cast, from Brando to Pacino to De Niro, there are few films that can match this calibre on screen. Along with the remastered prints, included are a wealth of extra features, making this not only a truly indispensable set, but great value too.

The Godfather part 1 is the most fantastically directed, excellently written and incredibly acted film of all time, in my opinion. Marlon Brando really protrays the Itallian elements of being part of a family, both biologically and in terms of the mafia. AL Pacino is at his best, managing to portray two different personalities (Anti-mafia and the Don) prefectly. For me the film is about family, although it is obviously very much about the mafia. The way family values are shown, and the heartbreak on Don Corleone's face when he hears about the death of his son Santino. Just brilliant.
Part 2 is equally as good, some say better, however I feel that part 1 is the better of the two. Robert DeNiro's acting is flawless, as is Pacino's, however the storyline, in my opinion, doesn't match that of the first, yes, it's brilliant, but I don't understand why people say it is better than the prequel.
Part 3... terrible.
